Worcester City Council Budget Focus Group

During the summer, Worcester City Council undertook a budget consultation which asked Worcester residents and businesses for their views on what the budget priorities should be in 2014/15, where money should be spent and ideas for income generation.

We would now like to build on the responses and will be carrying out focus groups to probe further into people’s priorities for the budget.  We are therefore looking to carry out focus groups with residents who are women; 18-24/students; from a minority ethnic background and are willing to share their views with us.

The sessions will be held on:

Young people/Students –Tuesday 21st January at 4pm in the Council Chamber, Guildhall, High Street, WR1 2EY

Women – Wednesday22nd January at 1.30 p.m. in the Court room, Guildhall, High Street, WR1 2EY

Minority ethnic background –Tuesday 28th January at 6.30pm at Horizon Centre Midland Road, Worcester, WR5 1DS

The focus groups will run for a maximum of 90 minutes and a cash incentive of £20 will be given to each participant.

The sessions will be facilitated independently by Oakham Research.  (Oakham Research is a specialist market research consultancy who strictly abides by the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.)  The focus group will be operated within these professional standards:http://www.mrs.org.uk/standards/codeconduct.htm

If you are interested in being involved you will need to contact Gemma Poxon on 01905 722050 or emailgemma.poxon@worcester.gov.uk providing your name, contact email or telephone number by 20th January.

As there are limited spaces available please note everyone has to be confirmed as an attendee, noone is allowed to just turn up on the day!!
