Nominate your future female Paralympian now!
We are writing to let you know about a unique opportunity to help us find a female Paralympian for Rio 2016. Girls4Gold is a nationwide search to identify females aged 14 – 30 who are fit and strong, committed and determined to succeed for our Disability Athletics team. No experience of athletics is necessary, the nominee just has to display ,Commitment, Determination and Courage and needs to be fit and strong.
Girls4Gold is an initiative run by the UK Performance Pathway Team ( formerly the UK Talent Team, a collaboration between UK Sport and the English Institute of Sport) alongside Disability Athletics to identify and fast track previously undiscovered talent.
As you are the eyes and ears on the ground, working tirelessly to inspire our next generation, we need your help! I am sure you have come across someone who ‘ just has it’ or have watched an athlete and thought ‘ there is just something there’…
If you have, we would like to ask you to nominate your aspiring stars for this fast track Girls4Gold initiative, here’s how:
- · Please read the attached nomination criteria document
- · Ensure your nominated person is classifiable in Paralympic Sport by reading the IPC Guide to Classification attachment
- · Complete the nomination form attached and return this toPara.Talent@eis2win.co.uk by Friday 24th February 12pm
- · Ask your nominee’s to keep the 1st and 2nd of February clear in case they are invited to the assessment days in Loughborough
