Find Out About Climbing Out – A Charity For Young People

Monday 7th April – 2.30pm – 3.30pm or 5.30pm – 6.30pm

Shirehall, Shrewsbury (SY2 6ND) in the Oswestry Room

Climbing Out in partnership with Shropshire Council’s Leisure Services would like to invite you to attend an informal information session about the great work Climbing Out is currently doing and how you or your organisation could get involved.

Climbing Out is a Shropshire based charity that works with young people facing life changing injury and illness. They run 5 day residential outdoor activity programmes that aim to help the young people taking part, regain their confidence and self-esteem, and provide them with the opportunity to realise what they can still achieve, despite the challenges they face.

A brief agenda for the sessions will be as follows:

  • Who are Climbing Out and what are they about?
  • Information about the programmes available, what activities they include and when how young people can access them.
  • Opportunities available through Climbing Out, including their newly formed wheelchair basketball club.
  • How can organisations get involved with the charity?
  • Questions and answers

We would strongly encourage anyone who works with young people to attend one of these meetings, as the programmes are a fantastic opportunity and have a huge impact on the lives of young people.

Kelda Wood, founder of Climbing Out, will be leading discussions and will be happy to answer any queries you may have.

For more information about Climbing Out please visit: www.climbingout.org.uk  or you can get in touch with Kelda at info@keldawood.co.uk

Please email Kelda to register your attendance at one of the sessions listed above.
