Archery GB is pleased to launch a new small grants scheme aimed at supporting and developing the archery club infrastructure and disability archery, Archery Clubs can get up to £1000 in grants.

Autism Training day course places available

There are some places on the Open College Network QCF Autism Autism Training on Monday 16th June in Droitwich. The day’s training contributes towards the OCN QCF qualification. A workbook is also provided which takes approximately 10 hours independent learning. On successful completion/internal/external verification an OCN certificate will be awarded . If OCN Autism Training is not required learners can attend just for the day for the Autism Training day, which will be certificated by Autism Inclusion.

The tax authorities are currently targeting those who work and volunteer in sport – clubs and coaches.Our four hour interactive training workshops will help you to pass a tax inspection and ensure that you won’t end up paying significant sums in back tax, penalties and interest.

WE ARE HOLDING A BUSINESS ESSENTIALS WORKSHOP ON TUESDAY 13TH MAY FROM 10AM-2PM AT:

The workshop will show you how to:
•Pay coaches, casual staff, players and children, to comply with HMRC requirements
•Ensure your self-employed workers don’t get reclassified as employees and land you with a big fine
•Keep accurate and legible bookkeeping records (you can be fined for poor record-keeping)
•Ensure that you set your club/business up in the right way to minimise liability
•Claim the correct expenses (especially important for coaches)
•Meet your ‘reasonable care’ obligations to ensure your insurance pays out if things go wrong

Thousands of coaches, administrators and volunteers have already attended our workshops and they are approved/recommended by National Governing Bodies such as the Lawn Tennis Association, British Gymnastics, and British Cycling.

Places cost just £49 per person per course.

Come and celebrate the contributions of volunteers in Worcestershire at the Council Chamber, County Hall on Monday 2nd June 3pm – 6.30pm. The event, being run in conjunction with Worcestershire Voices, will include the naming of volunteer champions, people who already volunteer within their communities and will now be inspiring others to do so as well.
The event will include :Live Music,Marketplace featuring a host of volunteering opportunities and refreshments. It looka to be an enjoyable event.

Level 2 Principles & preparations of Coaching Sport course

 

If you are 14+ with an interest in coaching then the 1st4sport certificate might just be for you.The course is an accredited (UKCC) UK coaching certificate award which focuses on the fundamentals of sports coaching , player development  and session delivery . This is the first stage of  the two stage  course which runs on the following dates : July 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th. And August 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th. For more information see link below.

Visually Impaired Cricket comes to Worcester !!!

Dear Supporter

We are delighted to announce that Visual Impaired (VI) cricket is coming to Worcestershire, courtesy of the Old Elizabethans Cricket Club who play at the Memorial Ground, Perdiswell Park in Worcester. With the support of Sport England and Sight Concern the club are holding a launch of their visual impaired cricket programme on Sunday 15th June, with an exhibition game being held between the England VI cricket team and an Old Elizabethans eleven, as well as opportunities for people who attend to play VI cricket alongside the main game.
