Tax Workshop

The tax authorities are currently targeting those who work and volunteer in sport – clubs and coaches.

Our four hour interactive training workshops will help you to pass a tax inspection and ensure that you won’t end up paying significant sums in back tax, penalties and interest.

We are running a tax workshop for sport in your area:

Tuesday 17th June from 10am to 2pm

Stratford Sports Club
Swans Nest Lane
Stratford Upon Avon
CV37 7LS

The workshop will show you how to:

  • Pay coaches, casual staff, players and children, to comply with HMRC requirements
  • Ensure your self-employed workers don’t get reclassified as employees and land you with a big fine
  • Keep accurate and legible bookkeeping records (you can be fined for poor record-keeping)
  • Ensure that you set your club/business up in the right way to minimise liability
  • Claim the correct expenses (especially important for coaches)
  • Meet your ‘reasonable care’ obligations to ensure your insurance pays out if things go wrong

Thousands of coaches, administrators and volunteers have already attended our workshops
and they are approved/recommended by National Governing Bodies such as the Lawn Tennis Association, British Gymnastics, and British Cycling. You can view feedback we have had from our delegates split by sport by visiting out website.

Places cost just £49 per person per course.

For further details take a look at our website at www.gbsport.org.uk and you can call us now to book your place on 01952 201657 – we look forward to hearing from you!

Support a great cause, Sponsored Walk

Dear All,
( Jean, Founder of New Hope Charity)
I am doing a sponsored walk on Sunday 13th July, from Worcester to Droitwich using the canals, its approx. 10 miles! We will start at the Diglis Hotel in Worcester and finish at St Andrews Town Hotel in Droitwich.
I’ve been training since March in all winds and weathers!! This is a big challenge for me personally as before I started my training my idea of exercise was walking from my front door to my car door!
Money raised from the walk will go towards funding days out for our children (including their transport) and if we raise enough we will buy some new outdoor equipment in time for the summer holidays.
So far around 20 people are walking with me, all trying to raise money for the children who attend New Hope, if you could sponsor me your donation would be very welcome, using the link above.

Please help support Jean and this great cause, New Hope support and enable disabled children to access leisure opportunities of their choice.

We also have a Just Text Giving facility here are the details:-
Text WKNH07 £2/£5/£10 TO 70070 to donate, e.g. WKNH07 £5.
Thank you, ill let you know how we get on!
Best Wishes,
