Europe’s only dedicated holiday centre for people with learning or physical disabilities is open

“Europe’s only dedicated holiday centre for people with learning or physical disabilities is open”

Europe’s only dedicated holiday centre for people with learning or physical disabilities is now open which means in many cases families, schools and organisations can holiday together in a purpose designed centre with all the facilities they might need for the very first time.

Very reasonably priced and with fourteen air-conditioned bedrooms two including full hygiene rooms with power hoists, a ground floor that is totally wheelchair friendly (no ramps or steps!), a soft play and sensory room, sensory garden with raised beds, restaurant, American self-catering themed diner, education centre, swimming pool with hoist, paddling pool, outdoor sanded play area and a petting zoo with animals chosen for their friendly nature (including meerkats) there is something for everyone. Just one kilometre away is the Portuguese town of Moncarapacho with its local restaurants and shops.  Also close by are excellent beaches, a waterpark, Wildlife Park, Adventure Park and a Zoo. You can enjoy the local markets and even visit Spain.

Set in the beautiful Algarve in Portugal just twenty minutes from FARO airport getting there is easy and means you don’t have a long journey or transfer. The Centre Algarve is managed by an English family and your safety, comfort and enjoyment is their goal.

We are a UK charity whose aim is to offer this unique holiday centre to individuals or families and in addition education trips/holidays to special needs schools and organisations that may never have had the opportunity to experience a holiday together in an environment that caters for their needs.
